For carers and families

You’re already doing enough.
Let us handle the plan.

Plan Management for anyone supporting an NDIS participant.

Nobody hands you a job description.

Most people don’t decide to become the one who manages the funding. It just ends up being you. Checking invoices. Working out what’s covered. Following up a Plan Manager who still hasn’t replied.

It’s a real workload on top of everything else you’re already doing. That’s the part we take.

What it looks like day to day.

Less admin, fewer phone calls and a clear view of the funding.

We chase providers, not you

If an invoice doesn’t look right, we go back to the provider.

Real-time budget visibility

See the funding through the online portal, any time.

One number to call

Someone who knows your situation, without you re-explaining it.

Full choice of providers

Including unregistered providers.

Monthly reports

A clear summary of spending, sent to whoever you choose.

Plain-language help

Not sure what the plan covers? Ask us. That’s part of the service.

Here’s how we take it on.

You and the person you care for choose the providers and the supports. We handle the rest.

  1. 1

    Providers invoice us

Invoices come straight to us, not to you.

  2. 2

    We check it

Every invoice is checked against the plan before it’s processed.

  3. 3

    You approve it

Nothing is paid without approval first, so there are no surprises.

  4. 4

    We claim and pay

We lodge the claim with the NDIS and pay the provider directly.

You get your time back.

Who talks to us, and who decides.

Every arrangement is different. Sometimes the participant handles everything and you’re there in the background. Sometimes you make the decisions. Often it’s somewhere in between.

We sort that out properly at the start: who we talk to, who approves invoices, who receives monthly reports and how you’d both prefer to be contacted. That way nothing stalls later because we weren’t sure who to call.

Legal Guardian, Plan Nominee or Person with Consent?

Tell us when you register.

A personal touch from day one.

On the day you register, your Plan Manager calls to introduce themselves and set everything up.

Your endorsement is completed the same day we receive your registration, so there’s no waiting around wondering where things stand.

Before the call ends, we’ll walk you through how invoicing works and what to tell your providers, so you always know who to contact if you need help.

What’s with the name?

No two zebras share the same stripes, just as no two people or plans are the same. That’s why we offer a truly personalised service, so every participant and family feels seen, heard and supported.

What our clients say.

Real words from the participants and families we work with every day.

I highly recommend Brie at Zebra Care. She has been fantastic in the way she has handled my son’s account. Her management style is very efficient and professional. I still feel in control of the bills while she does all the hard work.

If you are looking for a quality plan manager, Zebra Care is the place to go.

What is Plan Management and do I need it?

Plan Management is when a registered Plan Manager handles the financial side of NDIS funding: paying providers, keeping records and tracking the budget. You don’t need it, but it takes the admin off your plate while still letting you choose your own providers, including unregistered ones.

What’s the difference between Plan Management, Self Management and NDIA Management?

Self Managed means you pay providers yourself, wait for reimbursement and keep all the records. NDIA Managed means the NDIA pays providers directly, but you can only use registered providers. Plan Managed means we get invoices NDIS compliant, pay them from the plan funding so you’re not out of pocket and keep the records, while you keep the freedom to choose your providers.

Can I use any provider I want if the plan is Plan Managed?

Yes. Plan Management generally allows both registered and unregistered providers, giving you more flexibility than NDIA Managed funding.

Can I manage the plan on someone else’s behalf?

Yes, as long as the right authority is in place. For a child, that’s usually a parent or guardian. For an adult participant, it might be a Legal Guardian, a Plan Nominee or someone recorded with the NDIS as a Person with Consent. If the participant makes their own decisions and just wants your help day to day, that works too. We’ll confirm who can do what when you register.

I’m helping out informally. Can I still be involved?

Usually yes, with the participant’s agreement. Plenty of people support a friend or family member without any formal title. We’ll ask the participant what they’re comfortable with us sharing and who they want us to contact, then work to that.

Do invoices have to be approved every time?

That’s our default, and most people prefer it. You see each invoice before it’s paid. If you’d rather it ran automatically, we can set that up instead.

What if I don’t understand what the plan covers?

Ask us. That’s part of the service. We’ll talk you through what’s in the plan and what it can be used for, in plain language.

Does it cost anything?

No. Plan Management is funded by the NDIS on top of the participant’s supports. It doesn’t come out of their therapy or support budget, and it doesn’t come out of your pocket.
